I’m beginning to think petco doesn’t know anything about fish and just throws anything in a tank together and tells customers things just to get them to buy fish
Pretty much that's all they do told me I wasn't able to put snails or hermit crabs in with my nem but I found out different so I'm going to get some this week Coming up

Need help I don't know if my 1 6 line wrasse is dying I have 2 in the tank he was swimming around the morning when I turned on the acnitic lights and now he is laying in the one hole on the rock on his side eyes are moving but he won't move the other one is swimming around eating he wouldn't even come out any suggestions I don't want no harmful stuff in my tank that's gonna kill my shrimp and nem.

Hiding is usually a sign of fear from something else in the tank. My guess would be it's hiding from the other wrasse. As a general rule, two Sixline wrasses should not be kept together.

Okay so you don't think he is dying at all then and they were in the same tank for a month before I bought them what should I do they were getting along perfectly and now the one just started bullying the little one.

Definitely not dying. They wedge themselves inside of rock holes when they are scared. Take one back to the store before one of them ends up getting killed by the other one. Sixlines are well known for being aggressive fish as they get older.

But I don't think they will take him back I got them Tuesday I still have the receipt though and what can I put in with just 1 6 line wrasse when I take the big one back he is the really mean one.

Yep...hence the rule 1 per tank. You should really do your research online before putting anything in your tank. It'll save you a lot of headaches in the long run.

I did do research and each sites say different I have seen alot of people say there 6 line wrasse get along others say they don't even a saltwater expert did a video and said his 6 line wrasse get along so how am I suppose to know what's true.

Ultimately you have to make your own decision. I've been keeping saltwater aquariums for the better part of 20 years now (14 of those years I managed a locally owned and operated fish store maintaining the saltwater livestock) and even with all my experience I still run into things I don't have the answer to...so I ALWAYS research things first before making a decision on what to add to my tanks. If I see several people say, "don't add this with that" then chances are there is a reason for them saying that. Everyone's experiences will differ. In your case, it's very obvious the 2 wrasses aren't getting along and one needs to be removed. You should also be aware that Sixline wrasses will kill and eat shrimp, that is one of their natural food sources.

A good site to find information on fish compatibility is LiveAquaria...if it says a fish is Semi-Aggressive / Aggressive then it is more than likely true and those fish should be watched for possible issues with other fish.

The peppermint shrimp they don't bother him at all they leave him alone and the little wrasse doesn't bother the big one the big one is the one bullying and where My wrasse is hiding it seems like my nem is protecting him from the big one she won't let the big one near but I don't think the pet store will take one back I got them from petco so I don't know what to do with the one.

Well it sounds like you already know what you are doing then. Good luck to you.

Pellets the marine ones and what will go better with my Haitian nem snails or hermit crabs and how many should I get I will be getting them on thursday I have a 14g tank right now to start out and I'm gonna take the one big wrasse back cause he is a bully and keep the small one and my shrimp also what other fish can go with A wrasse since there semi aggresive.

I feed them pellets the marine ones and what's best with The wrasse, Haitian nem and the shrimp hermit crabs or snails and how many should I get.

I was using pellets but it kept getting sucked into the overflow or wouldn’t get eaten so swapped to frozen Mysis and brine shrimp and just mix up a little at a time as much as they’ll eat
