OK. I see a painted decoration in there. That for sure needs to come out. It is more likely intended for fresh water and those items usually degrade very quickly in salt water.

I am about to hop in a metting at work. Can you get me the info from the list of needed info? Once I get out of the meeting I will take a look at it and see where we can go from there.

It honestly depends on the amount of bacteria in/on the rock. Need the items I listed for getting info on filled in as best as possible to see where the tank is and what the full bioload is and so on.

your nem is correct. My sand came from Petco and it is a very fine like sugar but not as granular.

We strive to be very friendly. Unfortunately sometimes somebody comes off gruff or harsh but they really mean well. Just roll on. @Katrina71 is truly a gem.

Goodness ive made my fair share of mistakes and killed numerous animals because of my mistakes. I do have to say r2r has saved my tank and possibly my marriage.
