Honestly, ours would do this time to time. Looks like typical deflation. I don't see any tissue recession so I would see how it looks tomorrow.
I hope he gets better cos he's one of my favorite and he's new

I would stop direct feeding daily. A few times a week is plenty and if the coral catches food while feeding the fish then that's fine. Post some update pics when you can.
I was thinking of cutting down to 3 times a week instead. I spot feed them and dont gone them so much food. Could it be that he doesn't like that spot should I move him around, should I feed him?

As long as the coral is lower flow I would leave him be and monitor the coral. Does it always look like that or does the coral get puffy?
I got him last Thursday, he puffed up Friday, moved around all swollen and he seemed to be leaning on the wall with his tentacle plus he was getting too close to other corals so I got worries and thought the glass would damage him or he might hurt other corals so I moved him back to where he was. He shrunk up afterwards so yesterday I moved him closer to where he was heading to earlier hoping that was what he wanted. I just came back from work and found his mouth this open.

I think i'l put him back where he was before since he once popped up there, maybe he liked it the better. I dont want anything to happen to him[emoji25][emoji25][emoji25]

Sounds like normal plate behavior to me. Some days active, expanded and happy. Some days just flat and inactive. In my experience, I've never directly fed my plate. What started out at around 2" is now at least 7-8" when expanded and has always just grabbed food from the water column. It actually has one full end of my peninsula that it calls home. One of my favorite corals.

Does yours do the same thing too?

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but there are days when it doesn't inflate as much as others. There are some days it moves around and other days when it's pretty stationary.

But the one thing that's constant is I leave it alone and let it do its thing.

I meant having its mouth wide open as seen in the picture. Is that normal?

Yes, I would deem that normal. As @DSC reef mentioned above, let it be for a couple of days and then post some updated pictures. My $.02 anyway.

Thanks for all your help guys. The plate coral didnt make it. Still withering away but it gets worse everyday and breaks my heart the same. Research says to never take it of the tank even after death cos they could grow back. I guess to remind you how much it hurts to loose your coral lol... I can only pray and hope it does grow back.
