Plate coral help

Thanks for all your help guys. The plate coral didnt make it. Still withering away but it gets worse everyday and breaks my heart the same. Research says to never take it of the tank even after death cos they could grow back. I guess to remind you how much it hurts to loose your coral lol... I can only pray and hope it does grow back.

Hopefully you'll have a bunch of babies on the way soon. I had one die on me and now I've got 30+ little baby plates growing.

I'm so sorry! I would love to see babies! FYI, I have had a seriously damaged plate that recovered 100%.

Yeah, don't take it out. After having mine for over two years it started doing the same thing, but instead of taking it out I left in the tank. I left in there because I've heard of them having babies.

This is from 4 months ago and they're bigger now.

Thanks guys, i'l keep an eye out for it. Does a dead plate coral require any special care? (Trick question...lol)

The only thing I did was move it behind the rocks to the back of the tank, figured who wants to see a dead coral. When I noticed it sprouting a baby is when I moved it back to the front again.

Sorry about the loss. Definitely leave it in the tank. It took 2-3 months before I could tell the babies were growing on my dead plate. Now I have 20+, smaller than a BB, plates growing.
