That being said, they do need adequate light.
I wouldn't put them under less than 100 PAR.
True, but being they plate, they are also better at capturing light. My green plating monti is at about 100par.
 
It's looking more grayish than green.
Only green on the edge
I've had a few montis turn dull brown just to come right back when they had the right lighting and parameters.

I actually use them to judge the tank at a quick glance. If my orange monti cap is looking a bit dull I do some testing to make sure things aren't off. It has usually been a great indicator of my alk slipping one direction or the other.

Parameters are all good.
Not sure what PAR it's at under 1 AI Prime but they max out at 90
