PLEASE HELP. NEW AND OVERWHELMED

Welcome to the reef life. Is your 29 a biocube? I have the 29 gallon coralife biocube with the filter in the back. First follow the posts that others suggested. That will give you a good idea of how to precede. I'm sure you will still have lots of questions. Ask away. The best advice I can give is not to do anything without a good idea of what your doing and why you're doing it. We're here to help. You're going to love that tank!

Awesome thanks! I have heard people say clownfish are also good starters. would you agree or do you recommend I stay away?
Stick with Occelaris percula clown. Maroon, sebae and tomato although pretty can get quite nasty

Clowns, especially ocellaris are fine to start with. Tomatoes and clarki are mean, so stick with common clownfish. Once your tank has cycled, then they can go in.

Thanks, I did not expect so many people to come help and be supportive so fast

We have a great community here! Everyone is very friendly and willing to help! You'll like it here!

Here's another good read:

I remember feeling overwhelmed when I got my first tank too. It was a standard 75 I got for free, and I had no idea what I wanted to do with it. I was still doing freshwater then. On impulse, I decided to turn it into a reef. Once I started reading, the overwhelming feeling grew into obsession as I worked my way through mounds of local classified ads for cheap gear, learned how to drill and plumb a sump, and everything else.

I'm almost jealous of where you are right now!

You will look back and laugh at how this feels. I remember all of it. The first water change made me break out in a sweat. You will have losses. You will have successes. You are about to have a fun ride!

Welcome, there's tong of people on here with those tanks. So many different things you can do mods you can make as you get more comfortable in the hobby. But before toy get there read take your time and ask alot of questions. Even if it seems dumb, ask. When I first started salt I didn't even know about the forums. I just went to the store said what do I keep the salt level at, bought a hydrometer and went home poured salt into my tank and added fish the next day lol. Well that ended terribly. Almost 20 years later.... I'm still in it and I love it
