Last night I did a water change. I found out the filter was unplugged for the night. Is this oxygen loss or something else?

If unsure, rest at least the ammonia and nitrate to assure they didn’t spike which would affect oxygen
Typical of lights just on if that is what it appears.
Adding water that was colder than tank or salinity that was different may also cause such behavior

I don't see anything wrong, but that tank looks fresh!!! how long has it been running and how was it cycled?

My clown swam like that for several weeks in a corner when it was first introduced to my tank. Can't speak for the firefish as I don't have one because I don't want a top and here they are jumpers.

I think it's just the lack of oxygen over the night. I accidentally turned off the filter.

Assuming the filter is now on, I think they'll bounce back. My tank took a hit with one of the recent hurricanes (prolonged power-outage) and went 16 hours without O2. Talk about a bad day.. As mentioned, I'd check all water parameters though, just to make sure there isn't an underlying issue

The surface agitation is the filter. It an AIO.
Lol you didn't mention this till the following post. It very well could be low oxygen. You have no other powerheads in the tank?

Either way, they should be fine now that the water is moving.

Thank you

I honestly think your fine, fish looked to be just waking up as you mentioned just turning the lights on.

My clown fish still sleep vertically in the corner even though they host in my hammer during the day.

Are they out swimming around and acting normal now?

I feel like you are jumping to conclusions, turning the lights on will definitely stress the fish. Clowns are weird and sleep in weird ways and your firefish was probably in that nook. Mine sleeps in a cave I made and will dart to it the instant its spooked.

Thanks. I don't know if they're acting normal because I'm at work.

I think your instincts are on point. If the filter is what agitates the water and it was off all night, they may be lacking oxygen. I lost all my fish in a couple of hours (nano-tank) when the pump stopped running and the water was still.
Depending on the size of the tank consider adding a wave maker or even a bubbler as a back-up for when the filter is off.
If the lack of oxygen didn't kill them they should bounce back! Best of luck!
