Please help with lighting question

I just searched for Chinese black box group buy and nothing, neither for Chinese black box

Make sure to order enough extra parts with it as drivers will burn out fast.
Don't ask me why but it just happens.

I just messaged him so we will see. I got two of these 168 specs I got a year ago for a fish only 150. You sure these will grow sps?

I grew with sps with the old style, the ones you have. did great. the new spectrum does better though. ours has a lot of lower kelvin diodes and the reds that are essentially pointless (white diodes have enough red in them) the new spectrum is all 10k kelvin or higher, I believe he changed the blues from 450nm to 420nm, plus either the group buy lights or his new lights have UVA and UVB diodes which are essential to good growth. ill be ordering his signature lights as soon as I can. im not even sure if hes selling them large scale yet. I know hes got a massive tank setup with them testing them right now.

@Diesel ive been running my blackbox for 2 years now and ive not had any issues. and I run them 10 hours a day. although I do need to go borrow the clubs par meter and get new readings. im interested to see how much they fell. they were 712 par at 12 inches between light and water surface and I believe 195 at 42 inches from light to sand. the new ones are better. hes also stopped rating for par, and started looking more into PUR as its a more accurate way to measure the usable light.

Look at the AI prime. Full spectrum LEDs, controlled by your phone or computer. 199.00 per unit. You would need 2 for a 40 breeder. No other accessories needed other than your choice of mount. AI is a brand under EcoTech, just with out the high price. I just bought one for my nano and love it.

Okay, on the T5's, got a question there, why are ATI so high and other 4 bulb fixture are only $100

The materials made with ati are a higher quality.
My lil 2 ft 4 bulb Geisemann fixture cost 464.00 and it did not come with bulbs and a hanging kit. It is made out of extruded aluminum , good reflectors and just a higher quality than a 100 light. Pacific sun makes a Diuna t5 light with pricing starting @ 735.00 for a 3 ft.8 bulb unit .

I didn't grow sps but I know I could have. My lfs has a 270 with the maxspect razors and he has a tank full. One that would get totm on here. Very powerful, sleek, programmable, and comes with tank or hanging mounts.

The maxspect isn't far behind reef breeders on the watts and light but reef breeders do win in that category. I don't mind looking at my razors though. They are very sleek. I'm not saying they don't perform well because it's very close but it really comes down to if you want a little more power/less attractive (reefbreeder) or a little less power/more attractive (razor). Now the attractiveness is also my opinion.

Unedited iPhone picture of the lfs tank I was telling you had razors. It come from a video I took so I apologize for the lower quality.
