So I recently purchased a pair of rossmont mover powerheads and I disconnected them for the first time after 2 weeks of use to see if it helped make it easier for my fish to feed. When I reconnected one wasn't turning but to the touch it was vibrating so I new something was wrong. Then I disconnected it to take it out and noticed my led a aqualife halo mx80 flashed some light when it was supposed to be off. I didn't think much of it because I was running late for work and just needed to get the pump working. I'm pretty busy during the week with school and work so I don't get much time to look at my tank but today all I had was work so I come home and notice my halo whites are flickering so I lower the intensity to take a better look and 1 led is out and the rest flicker. I believe this is because the pump was building amperage trying to turn the rotor so when I disconnected it sent the excess to my led is there anything that I could do to save it or possibly fix it. I've only had it for a year. Does this sound possible or did this led just not last to long.

I don't believe your pump effected your leds. You may have had an issue you weren't aware of and the power being turned off caused it to go over the edge. Check your warranty and see if the light is still covered. One year is not long for a led fixture, it's like the first corner of a race. They're typically rated for 10~50K hrs.
