I agree. I’ve seen some tanks that are running really crappy lights but their tank looks amazing lol I guess everyone’s tank runs in their own unique style. I’m at work, but I’ll get a photo of my tank when I get home to show everyone what the Solarmax has done for me and the coralife.Yeah thats a season's greetings montipora it grows like a weed now but started it on the edge of the rock kinda overhanging, it grew that wayit seems quality led fixtures grow better corals and colors, but as soon as you think that , there's a hundred tanks that can prove that wrong. For me getting lighting under control takes away one variable I don't want to worry about.
56 gallon column tank, 30x18x24.
I am so dang jealous of the coralline! unreal. I so badly cannot wait for it.
, lol at some point it becomes a nuisance, and it drinks alkalinity and magnesium, plus it gets so thick but it does help keep unwanted algae away, and allows the snails to keep everything clean.
Yeah just glue it to some rock. Set it and forget it.Does the montipora hVe to be touching the light rock? Or?
The tomini tang is doing wonderful in my tank. I knew my water volume was slightly less than it should have, (Live Aquaria say they need 70 gallons) but did not realize until I had had it for quite some time that a 4 foot tank is what tomini tangs should have. However that being said, it never appears stressed or aggressive and it does not look claustrophobic. I feed it lots of different greens, both frozen and freeze dried. It is constantly picking at rock, macroalgae and the glass. I got it Oct. 3rd 2020 and I think it was full grown then. It has fattened up but did not really get any larger. It's one of my favorite fish because of it's sleek gracefulness but also it is so helpful in cleaning inside the tank. Thank you for the kind words about my tank. How is the Flame Fin Tomi doing in your tank? How long you had it? I will eventually set up my 50 36*18*18 and would like one but not sure if it’s appropriate long term. Your tank looks great btw.
Can everyone please post photos of your display tank, along with the size, what lights you use and what powerheads you use (I sound like a teacher). I know it sounds tedious but I really enjoy seeing the combination people use. I am going to be changing out my lights and powerheads very soon and I am just curious to see everyones setups look like as a whole. I also really love to see the placement of everything as far as rocks and coral, etc. Whether they are chaotic or simple, please post!!! I greatly appreciate it![]()
