Please tell me this is not a bobbit worm...

I know the pictures are terrible. As we all know the iPhone isn't good in the bluer spectrum and my tanks lights were winding down. I tried with and without my yellow filter but still didn't get a decent shot.

This worm seems to be pretty intelligent and very reclusive. My slightest movements outside of the tank would cause him to hide immediately.

It seems to have 3 antennas, one is white and appears to be different than the other 2. It reminds me of a basement dwelling insect we have here in New Jersey, I think either a centipede or a silverfish.

That does look suspiciously like a Eunicid worm.
You can generally tell because of the 4-5 antenna in their head.
Some are the things of nightmares, some aren't.

Ugh, I have the chills.. so creepy.

I googled, it resembles this:

Obviously not as large but still terrifying.

Can I trap it?

One of the antennas is different than the rest- it's visible in the last picture. Is that a characteristic of this species?

Yes, that's why I'm only suspicious. I've played with it in photoshop and the one antennae is totally different.

The antennae look thick enough to be Eunice. The stripes say Eunice. There's 5 dots on the head that look like they could be the base of 5 antennae. The odd antennae out does NOT say eunice. It also looks a little "bristly" to be a eunice. I'm going to look at some pictures to see if it's just the difference of it being young.

LOL! Oh sorry, I can get lost forever when I start poking around in books. I don't have an ID, but I'm looking around.

The antennae of a eunice is smooth. Check out the edging on that one weird antenna. Look at all those projections. That's not a Eunice antennae.
