The gate valve followed immediately by the ball valve on the intake seems redundant. You could always just close the gate valve if you want to take the unit out for servicing.

I am also not sure why you have 2 unions in a row on the return pipe.

Overall the look of it is one that will definitely not have a lot of flow through it, which is the point, so I am assuming you have another return into your tank that will have better flow?
 
I’m assuming you put the T in the middle to reduce overall height? If not why not have the T in-line with the UV inlet?

Also, how are you checking GPH if the bypass is in use? Or is the bypass just for On/Off for maintenance, in which case why the gate valve?
 
The union are there so each item or part can be taken out if needed, or reused later.
 
Excuse the rudimentary paint skills, this layout isn't possible? Trying to reduce unnecessary turbulence from the T. How are you feeding the UV? I would be shocked if you ever had to reduce the flow with the gate valve, but good idea to include.

A+, you've taken into consideration all maintenance and operational needs. (Nit picky suggestion, rotate the gate valve 90* so the handle is in line with the other handles.)
Are you feeding this with a seperate pump or from the main return line?

Agreed. He's covered all bases for maintenance. I like the bypass valves too.

Yes. It has its own pump. I’m actually running 2 uv’s both on separate pumps. Should I be concerned about flow in sump. I’ll probably try to run the one that has to be around 300 GPH off the manifold, if need be.
 
I highly doubt it in my opinion but that's still a trick question at this point! We don't know what size the tank or sump is. We don't know where the intake and outlet for the UV filters are going to be coming from or going to. Is there a certain turnover rate you're shooting for? What rate are the UV filters going to be running at. The devil is in the details.;)
 
I have a custom 240 wide DT tank, a 48 xl icecap sump. I going to be running one 55 watt uv at 300 GPH and a 90 watt uv at 2100 GPH, that seems high I know, but I double checked the numbers.
 
I know. That is just what the manufacture recommends
That flow seems super high. I know my pentair 80w recommends 2700 GPH but that’s on a 600 gallon system which works out to something like 4.5x turnover which would only be 900 GPH on a 200 gallon system.

Unless you’re going with a very large AC pump I don’t know how you’d hit 2700 GPH on a return line
