Po4 problems.

I think you are a candidate to also use Kent Marine Sponge or put to work GFO reactor. The problem is that a reactor is somewhat uncomfortable and if you have sump, use it on the display will take up much space having pump reactor.

In a nano it is even more important to control these parameters since a peak can be very damaging and it would be advisable to do water changes every week.

However, as you asked Randy, you use tap water? or you have Ro Di. and reading made fresh water parameters you use to fill and water changes?
I use ro to top off and water changes

Yesterday I got tap water and had a reading of 0.16ppm of phosphate.

But I have a question about it. Use the test to measure Red Sea that clearly is made for saltwater. Affects you use for fresh water, you will have a misreading?

Most phosphate kits work for both freshwater and salt water.

I come to do the review, which is not bad, but it is good.

Start with the steps indicated by the manufacturer, and the resin entered the sump at about 3 pm on day 1. I measured Po4 before using the resin and 0.36 ppm reading was, after using it for 40 hours (do not recommend use more than 48 hours) reading reached 0.30 to 0.25 ppm (the test does not have that range, but neither is 0.16 which is the other range below).

That's where I say I can not give a good but not bad reference because the amount of resin used is a large mass, and the mesh using (2 in total, each with half) and placed 1 in every drop water, not enough water power to "move" resins. So that's why I think the resin did not have the effect intended by the manufacturer, but I can not guarantee.

On Tuesday night again enter more resin but in smaller amounts, so that the water of decreases achieve "move" more resin, tonight met 48 hours and will remeasure the Po4 .

As for the coral, I observed that some zoas are resented that a little, the water gets something white, but after removing the resin completely clear water. The skimmer takes plenty of water. The pH decreased approximately 0.6 and the ORP value decreased from 398 to 380 with both doses.

I use Kent Phosphate Sponge.

The pH decreased 8.4 to 8.34 the first time and second time to 8.34 to 8.28

OK, that's certainly reasonable, 0.06 pH unit drop. :)
