Poll: At a gridlock for picking first system. Help me reason each option!

Oh crap. Typo. 2800 was for the Reefer 250. The 40B setup is about $2300. The cost in my area is different. For example, I called my local Petco and the 40B is $60 not $30. There are a few things that I'm set on having such as sand and a skimmer. Also need a stand that is decent looking and that'll cost more then $50 for me.

Craigslist man! That's where that brand new 40b costs $30. Some stuff I already had but seriously not everything needs to be new. You can build a 29g sump for around $100. Get a used skimmer and a new jabao dx return thats another $150-$200. People are throwing up good deals on Craigslist type sites every day. Definitely worth checking out.

Either that or check your LFS as they sell complete sets pretty frequently. The only downside of course is making sure the tank doesn't leak or isn't scratched and that you have to spend a fair bit of time cleaning the equipment out.
