Poll; What are you using to dose your tank?

I've been running a Calcium reactor for a better part of eight years and every time I tweak it lately I wonder if a three pump doser would be a more stable better way of adding my Kh, Ca, and Mg.

I'm just wondering what the masses are doing now days.

I use dosing pumps at the moment but will hopefully be phasing them out with the calcium reactor.

I used to manually dose daily until the demands got to be too high. Currently dosing 164 cc's each of 2 part daily, divided into 24 small doses of 7 cc's each hour via a Bubble Magus doser. No way to dose that large amount manually.

I use dosing pumps at the moment but will hopefully be phasing them out with the calcium reactor.

Can I ask why? Other than making up gallons of mix, what do you find more difficult about the dosing pumps. I've been considering moving from my Geo 618 and Milwaukee controller to the two part.

Using 3 drew's dosers from BRS, for mag, alk and calcium. They are hooked up to my apex controller, so each doses 24 times per day. Extremely easy! I also mix enough bulk solutions to last 3 months at a time.

I go old school and dose manually. That way I don't have to worry about a malfunction with dosing pumps.

SWC Master Doser X3 for around 6 months now I think, but you know that already bud. So far has been great and beats the heck out of manual dosing. For redundancy I control with my Apex to shut down if PH goes above 8.4 hopefully stopping anything horrible from happening.

I add Kalk to my top off water and instead of a float valve for the top off, I use a doser to add a gallon or so of water to my tank a day.

Kalk stirrer all the way. After many years of all types, found this the easiest and least likely to have issues.
