Polylab medic or reef rally pro

I was very lucky not to have a breakout in a large, fully stocked tank. This was a nano with only 2 or 3 fish and I honestly don't know how it found its way in since I hadn't introduced any new fish for a while when the breakout occured. The only thing I could imagine is I just happened to be that 1 in a million who happened to introduce an invert and the parasites were in the bag water...terrible experience I'd prefer not to repeat.

NOTE: I don't pour all the bag water in my tank but some obviously could have made it in...
Mine was in a large, fully stocked tank (and good luck catching most of the fish).

Thats literally everyone's worst nightmare because there's truly not a lot to do in the situation...you mentioned you used Medic and a UV...were you able to catch any to treat in a hospital tank?

First major fish illness, and I managed to snag the worst one... Nope - the fish were all far too stressed with everything else going on.

I’ve recently traversed my own velvet woes and lost a few beloved fish, this in a new, large tank as well. It is a far worse plague than ich and requires instant and aggressive reaction to it. Fish that appeared healthy and actively eating, suddenly went listless and gone soon after.

Upgraded both my skimmer and UV, the remaining fish seem healthy and asymptomatic as of now.

I’ve avoided medic specifically because they haven’t listed what’s in it (assuming H2O2, but what else?) AND quantified the concentrations.

One our best weapons in selecting strategies to combat ich/velvet/etc is full knowledge of what we’re using so we can at least make educated decisions on the whats, whens and how much to use.
I'm not using medic I'm using reef revolution water conditioner which is the same peroxide salt. An Australian brand. Day 4 now and the purple tangs spots have been gone 2 days with no return so far.
