My what big ears she has. Gorgeous pup!!!

A couple of quick updates:

1) Last night the GFCI in the basement started tripping again. I thought not the return pump AGAIN! It wasn't. ;) Simple fix this time, a little salt creep had reached around a corner and onto a plug. How in the world that happened, I have no idea, but i have fashioned an acrylic lid for that section of the sump. There is no light on that area, just where the skimmer is, so no loss of light there.

2) I finally put the stand LED's on a timer. :) The wife is most happy about this.

Tomorrow I am off to a MMMC meeting at Preuss pets in Lansing. I hope to come home with a few more corals and maybe a fish too! :D

Ok, here are some new pictures! These are just some quickies that I took before I left for a club meeting.

I just added some freebie corals from the club meeting, a 3-4 head Duncan frag, a reddish/orange chalice, and some Zoa's that I have no idea what they are. (Logan picked them out.) I also picked up a small container of New Life Spectrum, I am having a hard time finding this stuff lately. Has anybody else had issues?

Fun times on the way back from the meeting, I got a FLAT, and it went flat in a HURRY. No biggie, full size spare, just had tires rotated a week ago. I get all the stuff out, put the tire tool on the first wheel nut, and I start spinning the WRENCH. Ewww... paint peeling off the angle, not a good thing. Then my friend Nick mentions the bottle jack may not reach. (I have a 3" lift on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and 31" tires.) Double EWWWW! I start looking around, and see an Auto Zone down the street! YAY!!!! According to Siri, it is .2 miles away, not bad at all. So me, Nick, and my 11 year old Logan start heading down the road, to get a 4 way, and a jack. $75 later, and a short walk back to the Jeep, where I TWIST the 4 Way, man the nut is tight! I take off the other 4, and it finally lets loose. The right tools, and the right sized jack make all the difference. Now, I have to find a place to keep the jack in the jeep. ;)

Did u forget you were at Pruess? lol

FWIW I know RP had NLS different sizes and both types last I checked. I have also seen it at Petco before, but not sure if they still carry it its been forever since I have gone there.

Lol that's true Chris, but I paid $70 for the last one at Preuss'! I'll give Andy a shout and see what he has, I also need PE Mysis and Oyster feast.

I think I bought a trio a while back at RP and they were about $60-$70. you really like the orange back's eh?

looking good man. glad the tank is maturing each week. less and less to worry about... hopefully. :)

Yeah, who knows it could be related to collection time as well, but I do know I haven't seen them around much in a while. Hopefully with "the season" starting back up they will be more available and better priced.... I wouldn't mind a few eventually too ;)

If you haven't already check out the new RP food, it has a little of everything in it, I was noticing greater PE on my SPS after I started feeding it as well as better coloration in my fish.

Good point on the RP food, I'll check that out.

Marv, I really do like them, REALLY good color for any fish, I mean really good:

I know there are nicer fairies, but not for $70ish.

Orangebacks are definitely sweet, and that is a beautiful pic. I also like the solorensis, I have a large female that I am fond of, somewhat similar colors not as much orange though but wasn't as much either. Another super sweet wrasse that IMO you really can't go wrong with (if you get a good specimen that is healthy...)....

And often not really a bank breaker either. While not "colorful" really they definitely stand out in a crowd, as well as being a beneficial reef watchdog ;) For a more colorful version I love my Potters pair, simply beautiful IMO. I know they are not fairy wrasses but just figured I would put it out there for something nice IMO that will hang out together alot and give nice action and color/pattern as well as the watchdog capabilities. A little extra protection never hurts.

Yeah my leopards have all been great additions. I know with your history in the hobby and from when you used to work at RP, you know what your doing and have good tastes so I can't wait to see what all you end up with. + its always nice to see the family budget friendlier wrasses get love too LOL

I'm anxious to Chris! I'm hoping to stash some funds away for the Lansing swap too. I think it is time to hit the Kalk again, going to fab up a DIY reactor soon as well.

The few corals I came home with a looking pretty good today, and I picked up an epoxy stick to attach pieces, and make a couple sections of the scape more stable.

I hear ya, lansing puts on a good swap with plenty to check out for sure!

It will be a while still probably but hopefully I'll have a couple of my nicer goodies grown out enough to get ya a piece ;)
