Poseidon's NEW Adventure! ;)

Thanks! I am getting very anxious that is for sure!

First coat of gloss black down, now to wait for a bit and get that second coat down!

No life yet.... but sand and some rock. I spent 5 minutes putting together this jigsaw puzzle, and this is what I got:

Not bad, but this is only my first attempt! ;)

Looking nice, look forward to seeing if you changed the rockscape at all. Are you getting close to getting it wet?

Looks great man! Is that the grey mixed sand?

If I could have redone my scape I think I would have gone with tonga. Looking good

Thanks!

I am closer now, I just spent a couple hours in the basement moving stuff around, getting the treadmill moved, and the sumps put in the right place in the basement.

Looks great man! Is that the grey mixed sand?

This is the same stuff I had in my 90 Rev, I had been planning an upgrade to a 120 before the 90 came down. I bought 4 boxes of this a few years ago and had it in the garage. I sold 2 boxes, and kept the other two for when I put a tank back up. ;)

Thanks! I really like the Tonga myself.

Nice, love the branch!

Thanks Logan! I do to. ;)

Looks great!!

Thanks Tonya!

Okay, so a bit of an update, I cleaned a bit in the basement, and moved the sumps into place. I have leveled the stand in its new location, I had to put a piece of 1x4 under one side, as I am much closer to the sump now. (The floor slope is steep here.) I was also glad to have put in the adjustable feet when I built this stand, as it came in very handy for the other side.

I'll snap a couple pictures in a little bit, I am going to run out to the RC airplane field and see if I can sell a plane! :)

Getting close!!!

I like it, very elegant sir.

I am Rev!!

Now to decide if I should order a return pump, or use the one I have. I have a Velocity t4, it fits the GPH I want, but adds quite a bit of heat, and uses 150W. I am looking at a Water Blaster 7000, which I would have to valve down just a bit, can be ran external, and I am sure it won't add as much heat, at only 88W.

Long term I am thinking the Water Blaster would be a great choice.

More progress to report. 30L end panel has been replaced, and is water tight! RO filters are replaced and is water tight as well, I ordered a 75gpd membrane this time around. Finally second sump baffles are IN and curing as we speak.

Next up a trip to Lowes or HD for 1/4" plastic line, I am going to move my RO unit closer to the sumps, and start working on the plumbing to the basement from the tank.

Anybody have feedback on the Water Blaster 7000? It looks like a good pump in terms of volume of water vs Watts, is it loud?

Woohoo! Progress is awesome!! I have heard great things about the water blaster, but I have never used one.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Here are some new pictures!

New Basement Sump, in the right place, with the right tanks, with all their sides and baffles in place!

New holes in the floor, the one on the left is the drain, the one on the right the return. 1.5" Drain, 1" Return line.

RO Unit now attached to the sump stand, the salt mixing bucket is in view.

Close up of the new 45 gallon (ish) sump and baffles.

That is all I have for now, other then I AM MAKING WATER! The RO unit is up and running, I plan on getting salt tomorrow after work! One step closer to getting the tank wet!

1. If your planning on getting salt at RP.... it will have to wait until tuesday as they are closed mondays.
2. If the water blaster is the pump I am thinking about, talk to Jaime he will tell ya what he thinks about them and coralvue lol

Hey Chris, thanks! I meant to hit you up earlier, but I can't get into CR for some reason... it says I need to update my profile or something.

I'll give Jamie a call then, I know the pump is a Reef Octopus, I never had much luck with Coral Vue myself that is why I am asking. ;)
