So seems always happen when my mother comes to visit. When i have no space or time while shes here she stays in room with the tank. Maybe she stresses them out? Cause they are used to not having to deal with her? (Kind of like me lol).
But 2 anthias turned up dead yesterday morning and then i noticed this on my fish. And one on my wrasse has a discolored blemmish spot and noticed rubbing themselves on rocks. I have a 240g and they have been find for a long time and suddenly this without any new additions

Can anyone please give me some input

I can't tell for sure, there appears to be white spots on the fish. Also appears to be on the glass as well.

Are the spots on the fish?

This could be ich, but more likely Velvet with the quick deaths of the anthias. Did all the spots on the fish appear overnight?

Yea there are some spots on the fish aswell. I am not sure if they appeared overnight or over a day or 2. As i said my mother has been here totally ruining the time i get to observe and she stays up till 3am with light on and a laptop when normally those fish are alone in the room all day till i get hime and lights out at 10
But also the rabbitfish has a lesion on him if you look it has a cut or something. Can be from another rabbitfish poked him i am not sure

You can really see the spots on the tang above the fin

I see them. It's so hard to tell. It definitely looks more like ich in nature, but with the two Anthias deaths it makes me nervous.

Any other behavioral symptoms like swimming into the powerhead or anything?

Do you have a QT? How many fish are in this tank?

I do not have a qt though i do have another tank set up that i can pull all the rock from and turn i to a QT. It has nems and mushrooms in it right now with some clowns and damsels. Its 125g. That i was breaking down. I have like 20 fish in the 240g and alot of cemented rock so will be hard to catch everything

I get it. Best thing to do is get them in copper. Either way since it's parasitic in nature, you will need to treat with copper or CP. Allow the DT to be fallow for 76 days.

You can pile whatever coral/rock is in the 125 into the 240 once the fish are out.

Should i keep the salt the same or lower salinity?

If you are talking about in DT, just keep it wherever you typically would.

In QT 1.023-1.024 is fine.

Copper is probably your best bet. Do you have a hippo tang?

Some genus of Wrasse, Anthias, blue hippos etc won't tolerate CP.

yes i have hippo tangs and an emp angel in the 125 right now

I agree with everything @HotRocks has shared with you thus far, looks like you’re in good hands!

Does your mom spray heavy perfume or hair spray in that room? Burning candles?

Could be something completely normal for her but a disaster for the fish.

Ok so tomorrow is the day. I was not able to do anyning today about it cause had family events. Which im upset about. But whats a cheap and easy QT set up i can throw together for these fish.
I have a 125. But im hesitant to use it cause once i add copper i can never use the tank or sump to house corals or inverts again right??

Not sure of location but I have a 45 gallon plus stand with pvc pipes I could sell you. I just went through this exact same thing. @HotRocks helped me a lot. Hanna Copper test kit helped me a lot.

I just tore apart my 180g yesterday to get all the fish out. It took me 6 hours, lots of 5g buckets, brute trash can and a couple of 15g totes cause all the rocks and corals had to come out in order to get all the fish out.
13 fish came out and went into a RSM250 that I had empty. Set it up with Marine Pure spheres from my DT and new saltwater at about 1.023 2 days prior. Also dosed with CP @ 40mg per gallon. Even with enough seeded Marine Pure spheres for a much bigger tank and bio-load, I still had to dose with bottled bacteria and Prime for the last few days to fight the ammonia build up.
Lost 9 fish in the past 2 weeks before I convinced myself to dismantle the reef tank in order to get everyone out.
Wanna say, I'll never want to do this again so no fish whether from Diver's Den, LFS or even best friend's tank will go into my tank without QT procedures and treatment.
