Leave it alone. Walk away from the tank. LOL! Sometimes if you mess with these things, they just take longer to clear up. It's so normal. You're having a little pod explosion, because there's tonnes of food in there for them. They'll drop in numbers eventually. It always seems to happen at some point in new tanks, that's why I asked about the age of yours.

These pics will look a little odd without their containment boxes, but it was to show the progression of the tank from the beginning of the cycle, the diatom bloom and finally the "clearing". I did not touch the algae at all.... like at all at all. It goes on it's own. Sometimes it's a longer wait than expected. LEDs gave me some nasty cycle algae. It too passed, but it was HORRID.

Thanks for the help everyone! i am definitely in the middle picture category but am starting to see more coraline spreading through the tank than the rest of the algae so hopefully that means im close.
