I’ll be honest, mags kind of confuse me as I have seen varying information on their current classification. I have seen Mags more recently labeled Radianthus Magnifica on Actinaria.com as well as iNaturalist.com if I am remembering correctly. I may start another thread so we don’t clog this one up I can tag you if you’d like!

You might be thinking of Stichodactyla Haddoni and Stichodactyla Gigantea?

Those two are in the same family, where as H. Magnifica is more closely related to H. Crispa (Sebae Anemone)

I am back home now. It is doing great! It’s spread back out on the other rocks like how it was when I first got it, it is no longer deflated and sick looking! The test came in and all the test were good. So I think it was like you said, it was trying to get settled and the toxins got to it.

It looks like It has just moved

Anemones have the ability to move on their own when they are unhappy with their current conditions, that could be Lighting, Flow, or water parameters.

It is still inflated which is a great sign so I would bet that it is just looking for a better spot in the tank.

The rock it was on if the one that’s in the middle it isn’t attached to a rock at all anymore. Do I just need to let it find its new spot?

can you tell if its foot is attached to anything, its possible it could be attached to the back glass which isn't a big deal. if it is then I would definitely just let it do its thing, but do keep an eye on it.

Its foot it’s attached to 2 separate rocks and the glass… it has moved on top of palythoas.

Just to clear the air I want to give a full story on how this all went and how I Aquired this tank.

I got a call from someone saying someone has a fish tank they are wanting to get rid of, they called me because they knew I had a big fresh water tank previously and got rid of it. So we go get the tank thinking it is around 50 gallons. Well it turned out to be way bigger being 100 gallons. It was an old man’s tank, but he sold the house the tank was in and left the tank with the people that had the house and told them everything on how to take care of it. So all I got told was what they remembered him tell them how to care for it. They said they was going to throw all the stuff out in the yard if someone didn’t come get it, so we went to get it. They were remodeling the house and it was in the way of everything and they didn’t care to have it.

So we drain water from the tank and put it in trash bins (new), and place everything in bins. Because that’s what the old man told them when they asked how he moved it from Florida and that’s what he said he did. So we load it all up, get home around 12. It’s already late we have to set this thing up we know nothing about, so we were just more on the side of making sure we got it in water and got it warm. So we got it all in the tank, we didn’t know how to mix new water or anything so we had to use the old filthy water and we couldn’t see anything in the tank to organize it due to the water being so dirty. So we placed everything in and put the new in the middle how it was when we got it that seemed to be the most valuable thing in the tank so we wanted to be sure it was how it was when we found it. Wake up the next morning everything is getting cleared up and I never got the chance to reorganize the tank due to having to work. So it was scattered all over the place no space in it. But everything seemed to start doing better and better and everything I’ve learned has been from you guys and searching, I know how to mix up the water and all now. It’s just I was going to organize the tank this weekend being that I am off work and have time now I wanted to get stuff off the top of other stuff, and now the nem has detached itself and is on top of the palythoas.

But if you feel like reading this is how my salt water tank was Aquired

Also, this species of nem prefers to attach to flatter surfaces. It might be in search of that.

If a nem starts floating around the tank or is face down in the sand, then I would consider it detached which is almost always a bad thing. How big is your tank? I did not read through the whole tread carefully so I may have missed it.
Your Magnifica have been in this tank for many years, so the equipment's, light and circulation should be adequate for it. Newly move, the tank is unstable and that is what your anemone does not like. I hope it is not too unhappy to cause it to walk into the Power Head or the overflow.
This species of anemone like to perch on a flat, up facing rock with plenty of light and current. I would recommend water change to keep the water condition good and provide it with what it like and hope for the best.
You are having a "trial by fire" in learning reef aquarium and have to keep one of the hardest, large animals alive and happy. Consider selling it to a seasoned reefer. If this anemone walks into the PH or overflow and get chew up, it has the potential of wipe out the non-clownfish in your tank.

I second this, our anemone will move from inside of our aquascape to outside of it every day. It’s not detaching, just moving around. Now If it starts tumbling around in your tank? That means it’s detached
