Wow thats not even safe to drink is it? Im in Dayton , Oh and were at 300. We dont drink it, neither do our pets.
Some mineral water with higher price tags has closet to 1000ppm tds

The weird documentaries and shows I watch … lol

measuring Right from the tap has so many variables .

Where is the water stored. How is it treated
Even the pipes used to transport it from point A to your house

Even though high tds isn’t good and will most likely contribute to algae’s .
The question is what are the dissolved solids ?

I'm just down the road from you in Kettering. I'm getting 480 out of the tap and 0 after my RODI. I never thought to check what the acceptable reading is for drinking water, just looked at the recommended levels and wowzers are we high. Gonna look into getting some kind of filter for the sink now

Yeah, I came from Hamilton and they have the best city drinking water in the nation. I do believe they have some sign up stating that I kind of felt it hard to believe but having tasted their city water it really is dang good.

I don’t have a tds meter on my tap water at all times, but the last time I checked it was 110 in Charleston, WV. After my membranes is 4 and after my di is 0.

Here is an older picture of my messy setup. Since this picture I have actually added a third membrane.

Greenville, SC: (city uses RO filter)
Tap - 40 tds
After RODI - 0 tds

Charlotte, NC:
Tap - 80 tds
After RODI - 0 tds

But don’t government regulations hurt small business and cost jobs?
(I’m from Cleveland, we run our cars using fresh river water) :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
They do, and it's about time you all put that river out, the smoke is drifting south.

350+ well water in Indiana. Luckily BRS 5 stage RODI get the job done and just replace my sediment filter once every 3 weeks.

Beloit WI, 287 average. Not horrible.

Rockford IL had bouts of 600ish.
Loves park here 270 at tap. 600 is pretty good for rockford, I don't think they update the water infrastructure as frequently as they do in machesney/loves. I wonder what machesney was prior to connecting loves park, that was some good water.

But whatever my 270is, I get 2 TDS after a 4 stage, and 0 - 1 after anion cation, and 0 after a mixed bed. I think half of my problem is I don't flush my RO between uses.
