I definitely think you should consider throwing together a cheap QT. I agree with Bruce, there is a good possibility you are dealing with "suppressed" velvet. The problem with stores using copper is that it's often either a) sub-therapeutic or b) not treated long enough to fully eradicate parasites. This can actually mask symptoms.

I would absolutely suggest a fw dip in route to QT to check for flukes (also very likely with this particular fish). Preferably followed by an acriflavine bath to ward off secondary infections. Read post #2 in the link posted above for velvet for emergency treatment protocol.

I think my yellow tang has something, he has sudden twitches. I know its not as bad because he is eating, he is swimming around, and he is pooping. I think I have time to fill the 40g qt and put some extra rock in. I refuse to let these fish die, what should I get at the store for the qt?

All the initial signs here point to Marine Velvet Disease.

But the scratching/twitching you are seeing has to, at the very least, be flukes or ich.

A FW dip would be very helpful to narrow down the possibilities.

I tried to get him but it was too hard, I stopped when I thought he was dead. I am going to catch him and do the dip when I get back. I had to give him a break.

I'm going toward velvet. You said they were in copper at the store. That was masking problems. I think it will show its self in the next day. And there won't be much time after that. They need to be in copper ASAP.

I cant get him in the net! All he does is hide in the smallest cracks he can fit in, I am not taking apart the rocks.. I have the freshwater ready and I am just waiting for a chance. I also cant stress him out too much or he will die.. What do I do?

Drain the tank, get a brute can and drain the water into that. Once the fish is caught put the water back in

don't put rock in the QT. It will absorb the copper you need to use to treat velvet and cause the levels to fluctuate. Basically you have to remove the rocks to get the fish out and into the QT. I highly suggest you do this tonight if you can. They may not make it till morning.

I think they will, it will have to wait 2 days. My tang is more active than ever and even ate food today! My clownfish may not make it.. His tail is rotted and almost gone.. (He is the one I bought with the powder tang and yellow tang to pair with mine) Poor little thing..

Update : One clownfish died (Injury or something on tail), the Powder Brown Tang looks better than ever and is eating what I give him. I have not seen any signs of velvet. I have seen only one white dot on one of the fins and its going away. If I see any more dots I will qt.
