Powder Brown tang with what disease?

Thanks for the help and info. I have managed to get all of my invertebrates into my qt tank and then treated my display with CopperSafe. My yellow tang and Diamond Goby are looking happy and ick free again. I know I shouldn't do any water changes for 30 days to ensure I keep the 2.0ppm of CopperSafe to remove all states of the ick. After the 30 days, to remove the CopperSafe, should I just do water changes? Is there anything else I can do to help remove the CopperSafe to a safe level so that I can add my invertebrates back into my display?

Just remember - if you do have to do a water change during the 30 days, all you need to do is redose the replacement water with the proper amount of Coppersafe: If you change 10 gallons of water, just add 10 gallons worth of coppersafe back in.

At the end of the treatment, water changes is one way to remove coppersafe, but better still, you can use them, combined with Cuprisorb (and then keep that in your filter as a safety precaution).

Yep, I did read that. Hopefully, I won't have to do any water changes.

Perfect, thank you. I've just ordered some Cuprisorb. I'll definitely plan on leaving it in sump even after all the CopperSafe is give.

Yep, I do have a Copper test kit. I have used it to make sure I have 2.0ppm, I did multiple low doses over 3 days.

Any thoughts on adding any other additives for algae control/removal while having CopperSafe or is this something I should wait to do once I have all the CopperSafe removed?

You'll need to watch ammonia carefully in a new QT setup. I try to have my QT setup weeks in advance so everything is cycled, then dose the copper just before introducing fish to the QT, but you don't have that option this time.

Personally, I choose to use Seachem Stability for starter bacteria and AmGuard for controlling ammonia during the QT. Try to avoid anything not absolutely necessary, especially anything that may remove or alter the copper. Less is more in this situation. Keep it simple using good flow, good aeration and good housekeeping. I prefer to change water rather than dose chemicals/meds since it's so easy to properly dose CopperSafe directly to incoming water changes.

I appreciate the info. So I keep a few dish sponges (unused, of course) in my sump for instances if I ever needed to use my quarantine tank, like this one. With thought that I will bring over the established good bacteria. Hopefully, I won't have too big of an ammonia spike since I used water from the display tank as well and put three of the sponges into the QT, which is only a 10g.
