Power outage - profilux 3.1ex won't boot

I'm not sure to be honest

Look at the serial number if it begins with 17 - it is 2017, if it begins with 16 it is 2016. Next 2 digits = month and next 2 = the day IMO :D

Sincerely Lasse

It sounds like it some software problem - is it possible to do a firmware upgrading (or downgrading) ?

It was most if there was any guarantees. But make a support ticket with them - I think they can help you. especially if it is a software problem.

Sincerely Lasse
Tried the firmware upgrading or and downgrading process, did not help.

Another piece of the puzzle now though... it no longer recognizes the redox or salinity probes... looks like the unit is registering as a regular 3 now rather than a 3.1 ex. This might actually be related to the screen going out, maybe there is something wrong with that board now and it is connected to the screen.

Thoughts?

Just wanted to update everyone and thank you all for your support. I am working with GHL now, having submitted a ticket. The first issue seems to have been with the serial number, which was not right somehow. The GHL service personnel have been a little slow but still good people. So far I have my screen back but still no redox or salinity functionality. Making progress though!

To wrap this story up, I have fixed the problem. I had to restore the extended functionality by using the upgrade to extended option in GCC. The profilux support people were great, good experience overall. Thanks everyone!

Power went out! I’ve wrapped tank with towels. No circulation happening at all in there. How long will it be before fish start death rolls?
