Power strip suggestions

STC-1000 Temp controller WITH probe. (ya got to do a little wiring...) be sure to get the 110 VAC version.. and seek out one that ships from inside the US if you live here. I recommend that you power a 115VAC relay with the STC-1000 and power the heaters off the contacts of it. The STC-1000 is rated at 10 amps (I think) but why push your luck, our heater circuits are too important to us. You can get the relay at Radio Shack.

BTW -- $30 is plenty cheap enough on a DJ.

I'd be honored to provide a drawing to do the wiring if ask. (I'm not going to be around here Wed to Sun next week, so consider that)

Oh, I just caught you mean AC and heat.. it can control your heat and AC control wiring straight out of the box. and it allows to delay the compressor of the AC so you don't short cycle. Though, a normal thermostat is built for that...???
I'm not sure I would run your heat and AC this way.... though. LOL.. you are on your own there.

Definitely get something with a GFCI. Might save your life or that of your stock. If you can mount it to the underside of the top panel on your stand as well, even better - that will help keep anything from dripping into it.

STC-1000 hand drawn wiring diagrams, not rocket science. Be sure to get the 115VAC version, they come in several voltages.

Fragmatic thanks for the diagram. Would you mind posting a actual picture of your wiring. I am not the best at wiring and want to make sure I hook it up like your drawing.

Also what heaters are you using with the stc-1000? Will any heater work, and if so do you leave the temp controller on the heater or do you cut it off and just use the unit to control?

Well, I could post a picture but it wouldn't help any. All it would show is wires that disappear out the end of it. But, yes, any or all of your heaters. You can wire a socket from Home Depot between the relay open contacts and the heater(s) so you can just plug them in. Then I turn the thermostats on the heaters up to about 85°f or so, so they do not get used.

How is this... how about I post → a step by step of how I do it.

look for a new post in the DIY section. "wiring a STC-1000 heat and cool thermostat"

That's what I was thinking it is sick how it fits into that box with the outlet. Do you think I would be fine running without a relay if I am just putting a heater on there and no chiller on the cooling port? The heater would be a 300w

Any heater that plugs into a 110VAC wall outlet.
