Is everybody starting with the recommended dosage of 5 ML per 25 Gallons ? Is it best to break it down into daily dosings or just add the full amount once a week?

This sounds like great stuff but is there anyone who has seen an increase in algae growth? I tried some Elos Amino acids a few years ago and had a lot of excess flim algae growth on my tank.

Over the last few weeks my two open brains are all closed up. They never looked bad in the past.

I may even discontinue Acropower temporarily, especially since I'm about to change from dosing two-part to using a calcium reactor.
Too many changes at the same time to know what's doing what.

Per instructions you are not dosing enough on a 200 gal tank, 5 ml per 25 gal should be 40 ml for 200 gal. Maybe that's why you aren't seeing any visible results.
I would dose 6 ml per day instead of all once per week. Just my $0.02 worth.

I started to dose like 3ml a day on a 202 gal and slowly ramp It up to now 7.5ml over a two week period.
I see great improvements in the last month, better color and PE.
Growth is not coming from AA, you still need to feed your corals in a moderate way some other key products.
I also using potassium as many reefers don't, but please test before you dose potassium, level needs to be around the 390.
I'm also making three different blends from,
1) Oyster feast, Selcon, Reef Chili, Garlic extreme.
2)R.O.E, Selcon, vitamin's.
3)Roti and Phyto feast, Selcon, Reef Chili, Garlic Extreme.
All the blends I keep refrigerated and dose in the sump.
Always dose in a high flow area btw!
I feed every other day 1 blend only 10ml in the evening.
One more thing, PLEASE feed your AP during the day when lights are on, corals don't intake AA during the night.
Scott Fellman did a cool write up about feeding SPS.
Follow Scott on his blogs and learn some along the way.
Again make sure your system is in balance as in stability, you can spend all the money in the world, if your tank isn't balanced it just a waste in most cases.

Yeah, as I said earlier, i was working up to the recommended dose. And you may be right.
Other people were noticing a difference right away which is why i mentioned it.
