Small outbreak of cyno on BB pane :(.
Colors hasn't been what I had expected. Cut down dosing frequency to every other day from 6 days a week.

So far, I beleive my corals are gaining more color from this porduct. Has anyone noticed a rise in ORP and/or skimming from using this?

I started acropower on a dosing pump. I havent seen much as yet its only been 3 days. I have had to cut back feeding, nitrates have risen alitttle. So will add any updates as they go.

What kind of doser you running?

I've been dosing AP for over a month now and the biggest thing I noticed so far are the reds in my coral have come much more pronounced. My system is around 325 gal and less rock work I'd guess 285 gals of total water volume and I'm dosing 5.5ml a day at high noon lighting

Which corals? SPS? Acros? Or LPS/softies?

Thanks.

I found the instructions confusing on AP bottle. How much should one dose?

What's confusing?

Shake well.
Add to a strong current, stream for rapid distribution in the water.
Dose 5ml per 94.6 L (25 gallons) once per week or use a dosing pump to deliver the same volume divided into daily increments.
Does not require refrigeration, but store in a cool, shaded area to maintain the shelf life.
Shelf life is two years from date of manufacture.

I dose 7ML daily 1x on a 250 gallon total volume.

I started dosing again but at a reduced rate for now. Cyano isn't returning this time so I will gradually raise weekly. I'm only doing 2ml daily on a 130g system. I'll raise each week to the proper dosage.

I am not sure I buy into the daytime vs nighttime dosing. Although, Amino acids have been "described" as being consumed more in daylight than nighttime, I have not been able to find that reference. Also it seems that since polyp extension is greater at night, that absorption from the water should be greater. Unfortunately, I am definitely not an acropora physiologist so not sure about most beneficial feeding time. Perhaps absorption is independent of polyp extension, don't know.

...but Acropower's got what corals crave.

Started dosing yesterday, will keep monitor my SPS to see if anything changes.

Is this stuff any good for LPS as well or is it specially formulated for acros? Curious because of the name.

I suspect it's more marketing than anything else, if it's good for acros I don't see how it wouldn't also be good for LPS. If it's just amino acids, I'm not sure that some aminos are targeted towards acropora verses LPS.

Me either. but I thought maybe there was something I needed to learn. LOL Thanks for clearing that up for me.

There are some people who've seen LPS respond well to it. I'm personally dosing without any SPS, but I have a ton coming in shortly. I'm getting a ton of great growth and color but I can't say it's the acropower that's doing it.

I am pretty sure that this stuff is increasing my SPS colors and vibrancy somewhat since I started dosing again. The changes are subtle. I would not be able to catch the difference in pics, but I see it in person. I am very skeptical of all reef additives besides calcification components, but I must say that there's something to this.

So far I've had better PE and just noticed some major new growth tips, but I've been working a lot of haven't looked at my tank much, so it's hard to say if it's really having an impact. One of my acros that has been shy has let it polyps out more than ever.
