Prazipro & water changes in qt

Made the mistake of not doing a water change before doing my first dose of prazipro.

I know that the prazipro is only in the water column for 72 hours but if I want to do some siphon of the poop/detritus on the bottom of the qt tank will I need to redose in the water change?

My qt setup is a 10 gallon so i dosed 1/2 teaspoon of prazipro yesterday.. my ammonia badge is saying safe and fish look fine for now but i would like to suck up some of that poop if possible.

Prazipro only needs to be in the water for 24 hours to be effective. Just remember to do follow up dose in 5-7 days

Use an air line instead of a big hose. Less water loss. I tape it too a piece of wood dowel to keep it from flopping around. Much easier to steer.

I use a section of 1/4” acrylic tubing to syphon my DTs. Standard airline tubing fits inside a short 2-3” section of flexible 1/4” tubing you can find at any of the big box stores. Avoids wood splinters.
