I was spraying in my garage and I believe some mist may have gotten on my turkey baster and fish towels. How do I clean my equipment to be on the safe side?

Soap and water. Throw the towels in the washing machine and the baster in the dishwasher.

Should I not be? The dollar store doesn't sell microfiber towels I believe. Last I checked there was no turkey baster too. But, great idea on just buying new! I'll look around if it's at the dollar store. Thanks!

There's a good chance that aerosolized silicone grease will not come out with water. That's one of the reasons they use it on the garage door track.

I with with silicone pretty often and get it all over my hands. Soap and water don't usually cute it. I go straight acetone.

Hes using aerosolized silicone spray from a can which as you may or may not know, it doesnt develop a coat as thick as silicone grease or sealant when oversprayed.

Soap and water should be sufficent to clean the overspray grease off the rags and the dishwasher should be more than capable of cleaning it off the baster.

You are actually shorting the life of your garage door rollers.The Silicone Lube attracts dust and dirt, wearing down the bearings and rubber wheels. If the wheels are silicone rubber, it will soften them. Use DuPont Teflon Dry Lube Spray. Also don’t forget the Torsion Springs, over the door. Teflon Dry Lube will make them last longer too.

It’s not complicated. Wash with hot water and soap, that’s literally all you have do.

There’s a reason silicone sealant is used in shower/tub trims, roofing coatings that pond water, glass aquariums … it’s ability to repel/resist water.

Buy new if you are concerned.

Good enough to clean your for wish after washing?

I don't think so, but we shall see. At the cost of A towel, I'm retiring it from my glass cleaning towels. Still totally serviceable for other things
