Presentation of THUDUFUSI REEF

@ricardo herrera garcia

Yeah, mmmhmmm, I sure do... ...not know Spanish. I am sure it was a lovely message filled with good cheer.
[emoji27] [emoji27] I'm sorry friend!! It was a small mistake with the smartphone ... hehe. I said a lot of thanks for your interest and that there are still many things to do in the sump, such as the automatic filling urn, the water changes, the light inside the furniture, etc ... the small details are the that make the difference, hehe.

Hello friends!

First, I apologize for the language and all the mistakes I may have when expressing myself, I do not speak English very well.

I am a reefer of Cantabria (Spain) that after two years in the hobby with my first aquarium (a nano of 90 liters without sump) I have made the leap to an aquarium like the one of the elders, haha.

I was encouraged to register in the forum after the R2R Instagram wrote me to post one of my photos in the R2R forum (you can follow me on Instagram @thudufusi_reef), so here I am. I leave a short description of the reef and some photos of the assembly, (still unfinished). If I see that raise interest I will open another post in which I will talk more about the system and the inhabitants.

I started the montage in November of 2017, after a trip to the Maldivian islands where I got several ideas for the ecosystem that I wanted to mount in my aquarium, (thudufusi is the name of the island where I was). It is still unfinished, but it has been running at full capacity for a couple of months (the rock has been healing since November).

The urn is 65cm x 70cm x 60cm (270L) + sump 90cm x 55cm x 40cm (120L to 23cm water level) total system about 380 liters.

As for the fish I have opted for a majority of small size and one or two large at most, so that you see a lot of life and movement without it being a problem of space or pollution.
The reef is going to be a single sps, mostly acroporas, saving some montipora and seriatopora that come from my old aquarium.

I hope you like the project that I have in hand, here I leave a picture of how it is currently, and as I said, if it raises interest I think a post to follow the assembly more closely.

Thank you very much for welcoming me in this family and a hug for all.
See you in the reef!

Hello Friend! I apologize for my delay in answering, a lot of work these days ...
These fans are custom made in methacrylate by a friend. They are computer fans, 12cm in diameter each, and they do not make any noise. here the link with the features, https://www.pccomponentes.com/tacens-aura-ii-120x120 are connected to the temperature controller, so that they only connect when the temperature rises above the set value. I'm going to try to record a video so you can see how it works. as soon as I discover how it is done I share it in the post.
Thanks for your interest!! at the end I'll open a post to talk and explain the whole system well, haha.

@Curryb15 Here is the video of the fans in operation. You will be able to verify that they barely make noise. In addition to the good flow of air they provide, you can appreciate a bit with the strips of paper that I have improvised. anything do not hesitate to ask me friend !!!

Thank you! Awesome fans. How are they secured to your tank ?

They are fixed to the glass with a support made to measure, they have the hole to place a fixing screw for security, but in my case the support fits so well that it is not necessary to place them. someday I'll put them, hehe. the support was initially mobile, to be able to move the angle of the fans, but in the end we decided to make them fixed with an adequate angle for the surface of the aquarium. I upload some pictures of the details, I hope they clarify it better than my explanation. ;););)

Super clean setup, also very quiet!!! What overflow are you running?

Thank you very much friend! the overflow is also made to measure in methacrylate like the fans, hehe. It occupies the entire rear of the tank, so that it has the greatest water break possible. It measures 62 cm long x 3 cm wide x 9.5 cm high. Right now I can not find any pictures. As soon as I can, I upload a couple of photos.
