What is the differences between these two products. Is it that Pro Bio F includes the bacteria?

Found pretty much the same question on another forum. Seems like the two can be used interchangeably w/bio f having a bacterial source included. Although different strains from pro bio s.

You aquaforest guys need to be on the ball with answering these U.S. Customers questions if you plan on making an impact here in the states. Your website forum has zero English support. I hope since your products are being distributed here now that you will pay closer attention to the u.s. Market.

From Aquaforest
NP pro is a carbon source but different than ProF. If you have ProF you can dose every other day a and introduce slowly - NP pro.
Pro F is an undiluted version of NP pro. NP pro is made for a dosing pump. Got this from read forums around the world and talking with Aquaforest users.

For anyone who happens upon this thread. I was wondering why reef wiser and I had come to two different descriptions. I realized that I was talking about pro bio f and he was talking about pro f. Just FYI to anyone searching. Also add that pro bio f is a powder.

Yes, this program requires a bit of research. A good thing IMO!

Its pretty clear from the guide that Pro Bio F is a powder containing both the bacteria and the carbon source while NP-Pro is a liquid carbon source that is to be used in conjunction with a bacteria, preferably Pro Bio-S.

"Pro Bio F
Probiotic bacteria with culture medium for No3 Po4 reduction. It stimulates the development of bacterioplankton, one of the main nutrients for all corals. Dosage: one spoon for 100 liters (27 US gal.) of water a day"

"NP Pro
Liquid Polymer - Media for a growth of probiotic bacteria After addition of -NP Pro, bacteria will grow rapidly and in that way will convert unwanted nutrients like nitrate and phosphate into biomass. As a result, bacteria will be skimmed off or absorbed by corals and filter feeders, in this manner providing an additional source of natural food. Recommended to use in conjunction with Pro Bio S. Dosage: 1 drop per 100 litres (27 US gal.) daily"

Is there Pro F? It's not in the guide.

Just checked the website, it's in there. Odd. But it states that Pro F is the carbon media.

Yes what reef wiser said is describing the differences between pro f and np pro. That's part of the confusion, similar names and everything isn't listed in all places.

Pro F - that's culture medium for Probiotic Bacteria. It comprises monosaccharides , disaccharides , polysaccharides and ethanol.
-NP Pro - that's liquid polymers - carbon source for feed Pro Bio S.
Pro Bio F - Probiotic Bacteria and culture medium for them ( in dry form)

Aquaforest

Can you clearly explain when one would use Pro F versus NP Pro? And what bacteria is intended to be dosed with Pro F.
Thanks

The same as for NP Pro, correct? This begs the question why are there two carbon solutions in the Aquaforest line, both to be paired with Pro Bio S? What is the difference between Pro F and NP Pro? When should we use one instead of the other?
I have been using NP Pro and Pro Bio S for three weeks now and I am happy with the reduction in nitrates. I'm interested in the Pro F, but don't understand how it is different than the NP Pro.

Im not the only one that feeling that way. I even email and still get a runaround .
We definitely need more support and better description . So far the Facebook group is also a dead end

Did you ever clear this up.
Im currently planning on ordering np pro for a dose 2000ml jug but I'm not sure what else I need to make the best out of it

Never got an answer, but I have been using the NP Pro concentrate and Pro Bio S and am happy with the results. I ordered the 2000 ml jug and am going to start dosing it instead of the concentrate when I run out.

Thanks for the info.
I was having the same problem getting some answers seam like they forgot about the USA market . I made a Facebook group to find and put together a bunch of Aquaforest users . Some people from the UK joined the have use Aquaforest for a while . I hope this group help a lot of us. Here is a link if you want to join ushttps://www.facebook.com/groups/133265520407406/

I have also been using the Np-pro 2000ml and the Pro Bio S. Thank you for plugging away at it @glramos for answers.
