I was effected by the Turkey salt. It made a mess of my mixing tank with a thick brown sludge left on the bottom. But I saw no obvious negative effect on my corals that could not be explained. I did have an issue with corals in December but an ICP test proved it was high Nickel and Zinc. Seems one of my grabber tools was badly rusting. No iron in the water but that gets taken up fairly quickly by bacteria.Has anyone done water changes with different salt and seen improvements after noticing that they were using the salt from Turkey? I'm about to do a 50% water change with the blue bucket and really hoping that this will get me on a better path with my corals. I lost 5 colonies and twice as many frags since Dec.
Bottom line: it made a mess of my mixer vat but doesn't seem to have caused any harm. I'm not sure what to make of all these catastrophe stories. FYI I have switched to Brightwell Neo for now
