I just noticed my little puffer has a cloudy eye, it doesn't look swollen and he's acting normal. Everyone else in the tank is doing fine so I'm thinking he may have bumped it on something. Should I just monitor him or should I catch him and treat him?

My first thought was a bacterial infection but I'm far from being an expert and wanted to seek advice before doing anything
Dip will help determine that

Sounds good. Let us know.
I have a question before I do this: The rodi water is almost up to temp, I tricked him by pretending it was feeding time and trapped him with a net. I remember reading somewhere not to take a puffer out of water because of the possibility of them getting air trapped if they try to puff up. Because I have to take him out to do the fresh dip are there any precautions I should take?

You can use a small Tupperware if you wish, that’s best practice for puffers

I'm actually using a Lee's container but there's no way I can get him into it and not mix the salt and fresh water without taking him out.

Just net him and use a Tupperware with the fish still in the net. Hold the Tupperware over FW container and quickly transfer. It won't be an issue for a split second.

Ok,, thanks! I've never done it before and just wanted to make sure

I do see some things that look just like the flukes on the video that have fallen to the bottom of the container. Should I do any follow up treatments or be concerned about any of my other fish? Just so you are aware , he's not new to me and has been in my tank for about a year

You can add flukes after the fact by adding other fish. Flukes are more likely, as a healthy fish you’ve had for a while shouldn’t have random eye infections. I’d treat the tank with Prazi pro twice 5-7 days apart to handle flukes.

Sounds good I have prazi pro on hand so I'll start the treatment now. Thank you for your help!

Yup, agree.

I treated the whole tank with Prazi pro and the puffer's eye appears to back to normal. Many of my corals were looking stressed and were getting a little worse each day so I turned my skimmer and uv back on yesterday, they perked back up within a few hours. All the fish are eating well and look healthy but the only thing I'm a little worried about is my blue hippo tang keeps scratching herself on the rocks. I've seen her do this from time to time in the past but never noticed any signs of ill health except for having ich a couple times in the year I've had her. My cleaner shrimp jumped all over her when it happened and cleared it up both times.

Should I continue treating with the prazi pro? (I'm worried about my corals with how they seemed to respond to the treatment) and should I be concerned about the tang's behavior?

Thanks for all your help!

It sounds like you are managing ich which would explain what’s going on. I’d treat with Prazi again 5-7 days after first dose to kill off the hatching eggs.
