Hey guys, I think I pulled my anemone too hard. Off the rock because he was wait to close to my power head. I finally got him off but he shriveled up. Will he be ok?

Thanks

No it's just a natural reaction to being agitated.

Is his foot ok? Did he reattach himself to another rock?

Yea he worried me for a bit. He's starting to open up. Phew! Thank for your input. Do you have one?

When you say he's laying there, do you mean he's floating on the sand?

How does he look to you? You think he'll be alright? I put him in a container in the take so he doesn't float around.

I'm by no means an expert on them but he looks ok. A bit grumpy but I'm sure he'll look better in an hour.

Keep him in there for the time being.

Depending on how small it is brine shrimp to maybe a krill two or three times a week if it has about 2 or 3 inch circumference foot

You're feeding will depend on the type of fish the amount of corals they will use different foods fish I feed myosin and brine shrimp just my smaller corals and krill two or three times a week to keep it in place it depends on how big and many fish you have but the standard is about 30 to 45 minutes seconds so you don't pollute and you have a good clean up crew to take care of what hits the bottom do you have a protein skimmer

Yes I have a skimmer but it's acting funny. It's not giving me a steady slow skim. It skimming way to fast and it's a clear skim in the collection cup.

You have the flow rate incorrect at the skimmer you should be able with a cup off to maintain bubbles at the lip where the cup connects that does not allow for over skimming but remember it takes salt out of your tank so over time you do make need to make it up

The only thing that should be in the collection cup is a brown thick water if it is coming out clear you are not skimming properly it should smell like an outhouse in the middle of summer when you change it empty it and for this about every three to five days and clean out the inside of your skimmer so you're allowed full aeration of the water so it will skim properly at the top

Wow! Stunning! How often do you feed them? What do you feed them?

I don't feed them. I've read many articles and opinions that say you should feed them and others that say you dont need to. I decided not to and they're doing great.
