My landlord's wife wants a fish that's purple and orange. The closest I've come to that is the royal gramma and royal dottyback, but those have yellow, not orange. Any suggestions?

Bi-color blenny, Diadema dottyback, 6 line Wrasse I think they all have orange and purple.
Coral beauty and Flameback angels.

Maybe a coral beauty???
Oh, drat. You're right, but that would conflict with the flame angel my hubby has his heart set on :/

Okay, thanks for the suggestions. Really too bad the coral beauty won't work (due to my hubby really itching for a flame angel)...I'm not touching dottybacks or sixlines with a ten-foot pole...

I always thought the bicolor blenny was grayish? I'll have to check that out. :)

Sunburst Anthias?
I never thought of that as purple...looks more like a bright pink to me.

The bicolor blenny looks more like a grayish-blue (and occasionally maroon) from the photos. Not quite it.

Any other suggestions, or am I out of luck? She likes the gramma, so if I don't find anything closer to what she was asking for I'll get that.

Sunrise dottyback, most pics i see it shows it's yellower but mine had an orange streak down it's back.

Why would coral beauty not work with flame angel. I have both in my tank and they are best friends.

Yours is the exception to the rule, and this is a 55 gallon tank I believe.

If be more worried about them nipping corals although neither my coral beauty or flame angel have messed with any corals yet. I keep them fed extremely well though. They are both FAT! By the way I hate to say it but I had both my flame and coral beauty in my previous 55 gallon. But I soon upgraded to my current tank. I see no problem with it and if you google search flame and coral beauty a lot of people do it without any trouble. But depends on the fish I guess.

just add them together the flame and coral beauty but I've added them at different times with out much problems I usually do the coral beauty first the don't seem to as aggressive as the flame so transition seems easier

As a general rule, centropyge angels don't get along (at least when fully mature.)

Fathead sunburst anthias, Resplendent Anthias, red manderian?, Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse, Orange-Back Fairy Wrasse, Red Velvet Fairy Wrasse
