Would 2 purple firefish be pushing it in a 25 gallon? Or would they fight

They will fight as there isn't enough room for both. A red and purple would probably fight in this size of a tank. I've got a red and purple who have been fine for a few months, I'm now in the process of moving the red to my 20.Would 2 purple firefish be pushing it in a 25 gallon? Or would they fight
Nope. Firefish males do not tolerate other males and females don't tolerate other females. If 2 firefish form a bonded pr they will coexist, if they are not a pr, then one will kill the other. It is easier to find a pr in a dealers tank with a few firefish in there. A pr will have a small area staked out from the others.I've heard that firefish do best in odd groups. With three fish, aggression would be minimized.
