Are you talking about the color around the mouth?
I don't see a picHere is a picture that I have with both frags. The blues in the back are bluer polyps and they are quite a bit smaller polyps. I have had them both for almost the same amount of time. Are they the same?
Just googled and found these pics, I don't have BH to compare to my PH.

imo, they are both the same in different lighting/tank conditions. one seems to have been in higher light and the other in lower light. who did you trade with?
Which ones are tre PH's I only have two types. The small 2 polyp frag I bought as BH. And the larger frag I got as PH.1st pic are true Blue Hornets and not the african blue hornets and AOI type similar polyps.
Last pic on top are true PH's I have all 3 even the reds.

The only reason I ask who it is because I saw a thread on RC about trading them as Purple Hornets but they were Blue Hornets. The polyp size can differ on the tank and what not.
Heres a link for PHs and several pics

If your still unsure pm Gary (reefpets). He is a sponsor/member here and he was the one who named them purple hornets.
to some people it doesnt matter, but you always have the right to ask for lineage, even though that can fail at times.
1st page pics.. true blue hornets. a little larger than purple hornets, but grow just as large as red hornets.
