Purple Pinks

Anyone have/seen these before? The rings around them have a strong flourescent glow. If so, I'm curious to what would be better lighting to keep the colors. Right now they are under 20k Radiums. I'm a little skeptical that they will keep their color.

I had some like those but the center on my was yellowish.

They were under 2x250w 14k hamilton powered PFO ballast and 2x110w VHO actinic powered by ARO ballast.

Well aside from my tank crashing during my move and shuffling around 70g -> nano -> 20G -> 24G tanks. I've been shopping. =)

The crash sucks. I tried to crash mine a month or so ago. "Most" things are starting to come back around.

Sneaka Peak

New pickups that I just put in the hospital tank. Here are before pictures of them before they open up.

Pink Elephants?

Yellow or Green? I'm curious if these bad boys are bleached or if they will maintain color. Although all the zoas that I have had my paws on turn a tint of green, I'm always hopeful in ones that break the mold.

I'm still waiting on these yellow ones to open up. Basically when I picked them up they have a white pattern in the middle of the polyp. They aren't as colorful as the pink elephants, but I get overly excited hunting the white whale which are true yellow polyps.

Yes they are similar, if I was to nit pick between the two I would say the only thing different is the whitish patterns in the middle. When I picked up this colony they are under very low light w/ actinic supplementation. What lighting is your colony under? The ones in my holding tank are in 250w 20K Radiums w/out supplementation.
