That may be. Trouble is if you see uronema your anthias are toast without some kind of intervention. Maybe there’s something else you can use, humblefish would know. When I’ve used CP on uronema infested anthias, some died and some survived. Did the uronema kill then or was it the CP? Dunno. I just know they’ll all die if I leave it.

If they are “eating like pigs” why treat with anything? I’m not a fan of treating unless they are sick. My experience with anthias is they are pretty disease free. My suggestion is just observe Over a period of time and only treat if they develop something.

They are still eating well and extremely active......quite impressive I might add (kudos to NYAquatics and not necessarily me!). I am treating them with general cure and metro on a 10 day program but i am not planning to treat them with copper as i haven't seen a speck of concern on them.

Once the treatment is done my plan was to split them into two separate 20g tanks to lighten the ammonia load and buy myself some time till my lid comes in. I'll get 2-3 weeks of observation.

Does that make sense? Anyone see any risk of separating them, after they've been together and then rejoining them in about 3-4 weeks?

I'm not sure I would separate them for the one reason is the dominate one is likely to to start transitioning to male. And this helps to keep others from going male. If you remove that dominate one from the group ( small group) it gives the bigger, maybe more dominate one of that group to start the change. Then when you put them back together, you may have 2 fish fighting to be the "One".
In the groups of anthias I've had, there seems to always be a need for a top dog in the group.

But you know what the fish are going through in your tank, so you may be the better judge.
