My LFS is having a sale today I might go get something. For a quick start just use DT water and match SG and temp as LFS add half dose copper?
I got a powder brown tang and a six line. They should be fine in same QT?
I have a air powered sponge filter that has been in DT for ever should I use it in QT?
Ok started QT on Sunday with half dose copper, added little mornings and night now at full recommended copper the powder brown tang looks good and eating but the six line wrasse is showing stress. This will be the fourth six line I've lost in QT if I don't do something! Do I really need to QT him in copper or can I watch him in other QT without copper?
I'm using ionic copperOf the two fish he needs copper more than the Tang. He can carry parasites and never show symptoms. If you are using a Hanna bring your copper down a bit. I went from 1.75 to 1.60 because of a wrasse just don’t dip below 1.50 (copper power)
I'm using ionic copper
Should I leave copper at 0.33? And 14 days at this level starts now or Sunday when I got them?

Thanks this will be the only wrasse in the tank. I'm a little worried about the powder brown playing well with other tangs?.35 is the absolute minimum... but that doesn’t allow for ANY swing at all. I would try to at least get it to .4. As slowly as you need to, for wrasses I’ll take as long as a week to bring it to therapeutic though I will say my experience with 6-lines is limited since they don’t play nice with other wrasses![]()

I was thinking of redoing the rock work and maybe add multiple tangs at the same time? I have a little yellow tang and a bigger purple tang in the tank now.
