Quarantine tank without time to cycle

I’m just wrapping up my tank transfer method with a blue spot puffer and coral beauty. They will be going into a 32 gallon qt in about 5 days. The problem is because of needing to sterilize it after finding out they had ich, it has not been able to cycle. Should I just be monitoring ammonia and nitrite and make sure to dose prime?
It seems to me that you are making this a little more complicated than it needs to be.
If the 2 fish are just going to be held in a bare quarantine tank for only 5 days, then while it would be good to have a product on hand like Prime, I would not plan on dosing it to the tank unless it is needed.
Feed very light, vacuum any uneaten food out asap and have extra saltwater on hand to do water changes.

Now if this quarantine tank is going to be used again, then maybe do the sponge filter and a bacteria product.

2 questions.....I did a emergency hospital tank to treat ick and maybe more. All levels are good, but nitrate is high. I feed small amounts, and try to net out any uneaten food. The fish are eating, but that is another story......but they are not creating a lot of waste. Using cupramine. 20 gl tank, and I am having to change 5 gl daily 5-10ppm range. How can I keep this level in check.

Second question, fish are very sick, with possible multiple issues, water is very cloudy. My though was to put a small uv to help clear the water. Is there any value to it? How else can I clear the water.

The sad thing is the fish show no signs of wanting to eat...trying all sorts of thing to entice, but I there is little hope they will pull through

in a QT tank the main thing to worry about is ammonia you really dont need to worry about nitrite or nitrate

I do t think most uv sterilizes are going to kill any parasites. If you can't add bacteria in a bottle for some sort of filtration water changes dosed with the correct amount of copper you already have in your tank is the only thing you will be able to do. The cloudiness is from ammonia and the med most likely.

If you have no choice, agree monitor and do water changes and/or additives to control nutrients. I use poly filter if I have to (obvioulsy not if medicating, but I primarily QT for observation), but I also keep a liter of Pond Matrix in my sump for QT and hospital if needed.
