Question about CP

First, rule out ammonia.

Have you checked for flukes? I would rule out or confirm flukes via fwd next.

Have you seen any signs of velvet, brook or anything else? If not it may be best to get her out of CP and into nfg. It is possible to dose abx with cp. I use furan 2 if I have to run abx with cp.

Post a pic if you can get one.
Notice the discolored white area on top of its head and the gill area. She looks bad.

Also no ammonia. Ammonia badge is yellow. I just transferred them both into a sterile qt tank. Been working on it all day.

Possibly bacterial.

Are they out of the CP now?

Have they been checked for flukes?

I used CP to treat all my fish once they had Brook only thing I’d say is make sure you have multiple bubblers for Oxygen or one big one and a huge air stone and also that tangs don’t do well in it. I lost a blue tang and a yellow tang in treatment.

Blue hippo tangs do not tolerate CP. I put a yellow through without issue.

No and I'm honestly scared to do a fwd.

Possibly bacterial.

No they're still in CP. I did dose kanaplex after an acriflavin bath. At first I was worried about it uronema but it's not red just discolored. So I did an acriflavin bath and put back into CP. The Black is doing good. Not eating much but doing OK. She was eating good before yesterday and then just went downhill so I don't know what happened

Have you seen anything that looks like brook or velvet and how long have they been in CP?

Do you have NFG ?

Any flashing or scratching?

I am thinking remove CP and run NFG asap, if you haven't seen any velvet or brook.

No haven't seen symptoms of either but she did come out a known velvet infested tank. Started copper power a week ago. Got it up to therapeutic and she was fine for the first few days. Then just got bad. Started CP last night. She's taking the CP well. Perked up some and started swimming a bit more. Hasn't eaten in about 2 days though. Yes I have nfg. I can put carbon in tomorrow and do a water change to get cp out and start nfg. Do you think that would be better? I do want to treat for ick prophylacticly though which is why I started with copper

I'll put the carbon in tonight and do a big water change and start nfg. What's your recommendation on dosage?

I do want to clarify she was in copper and got bad. So I took her and the other clown out of the tank and put into sterile and dosed the CP. She had already stopped eating and started laying down breathing really heavily before she went into the CP. Someone I spoke to advised to try the CP on her since she was so bad and they suspected velvet. So that's why I started cp. I've never used it before to treat my fish. But I did the dosage of 80 mg per gal but today dropped it down to 70 to see if that would help her get her appetite back. I also did an acriflavin bath.

Looking at the photos I'm not seeing anything that CP would help with. NFG would be the best bet if its bacterial which I think it is, possibly secondary to flukes.

Known velvet complicates things a bit. Perhaps leave cp in and dose trifecta so velvet doesnt explode, but I think I would go NFG as I think that fish is running out of time.

Best of luck, hope she makes it!

Can nfg be ran with copper?

Yes I have used fenbendazole quite a bit. Get it through this first...

How long did you feed GC?

It's not uncommon for it to take up to 3 weeks to clear an infestation.

For about 2 weeks with the black one. I've had that one longer. It still has stringy poo and isn't eating alot. I was advise to use fenbendazole as it works better

It does work well when prazi fails.
