R2R Pups

Things are going well in our house. Rusty is still enamored by Shelby. Whenever she’s sleeping and not in her kennel he insists on checking on her every little bit. She’s warmed up to him a lot and follows him around. I’m so proud of my fuzzy boy for being such a caring big brother. Shelby is wonderful and hilarious. She loves my stepdaughter and will drop everything to come running to me to give kisses and try to eat my beard when I call her name.

Rusty is keeping baby from rolling off in that photo! Good dog!

Dogs are the best. I’m not sure we hairless monkeys deserve them even though we created them. That and all evidence points to dogs being a key part of us shifting from a hunter-gatherers to sedentary agricultural based species which developed empires and the modern nation states of today

Awe, but if they didn't love us, they wouldn't have kept with us. I don't believe we created them. We only selective bred them for traits to match our lives. it's a big leap. From working for us, to being a family member. How we have changed.

fair point. I suppose a better statement would be, we set their proverbial ball rolling. In any case, I know I’m in the minority but I truly feel man can learn a great deal about love and compassion from our floofy friends

Sooo much cuteness! I love it.

@BeltedCoyote it looks like your dogs are amazing together. What a sweet big pup you have.
@fishguy242 A tired puppy is the best kind. Same with adults. They get in so much less trouble if exhausted.

Love this thread so much.

makes it hard to leave for work lol

I work nights and literally spent the entire night wishing I could go home and see my puppy.
Just maybe? Of course it does. Adorable
I have to document the cuteness now. 5 months old, 62 lbs. He will end up 120 lbs and to be honest kind of a jerk.

POOPED PUP... :)

When I got my doberman, you couldn't wear her down. I had to force her to sit still and take a nap and go to bed. 3 hours of tug o war - 3 mile walks. TONS of play. Nope she kept going. i was worried she was going to work herself to death.

Edit: she finally mellowed out after my first born came home from the hospital. She became a completely different dog.

Exactly why I got a Giant Schnauzer instead of a Doberman. I already have a crack dog (Vizsla). The last thing I needed was a 100lbs dobie

Loki was raised by our old man skeeter. Shepherded Lab mix.
Loki our husky is quiet gentle and just reads people. He knkw when kids are scared of him. So he lays down and scoots over to them. He's amazing. Old man in in a young body.

Skylar- she's our crack head. Doesn't know a stranger but can't read a person. She loud and let's all know she wants loving. Overly excitable and a pure husky personality.
