Your little guy will move wherever he's most comfy. Your light isn't the issue. Nems do what they want. I would expect it to split if your clowns are loving it. It's kinda what they do... symbiotic relationship. Just don't stress out about it.

Feed, sure, not required but OK. I never feed more than once a month, small fingernail size piece of shrimp.

Feeding will enhance growth and may cause it to split.

You can keep him growing and happy with consistent light and stable water chemistry……that being the only requirement.

The one in the pick was the same size as yours 2 years ago.

Also, did yours stays bubbly and is it okay that's it stays stringy? Or does that mean anything or is there just no way of knowing what they'll do?

Nems just change color and bubbles to no bubbles for no real reason sometimes. Anecdotally, I’ve seen more bubbly tips under higher light. Yours is probably extending to get more light because it’s used to higher light. Eventually it will adapt to your lighting and look more “normal”.

As others have suggested, and especially if this is a newer nem, I would feed to ensure it is good and healthy. I have found the combination of just the right light and flow influences “bubbling.” The nems below are all from one original rainbow bt anemone.

I stopped feeding mine. Now instead of splitting they just have baby ones popping up everywhere. ‍

I would suggest only indirectly feeding a NEM if you don't want it to split. Feed your fish in a spot where he gets a small amount of cast off most days and keep everything consistent as far as lights, flow and feeding.

I would also consider more lighting. I have a 60g and run 2 AI32's.

How deep is your tank? I’m not familiar with a 62g, but your pic does make me think the rock might be a fair ways from the light.

I feed mine around 400 par durring peak and anything they can catch when fish are are fed. I haven't fed any directly in years. As for bubbling, who knows? I've had multiple on the same rock, same flow and light and one may bubble one day and a different the next or maybe none will bubble. I gave up trying to figure out why some bubble and others do not.
