Rally and No Ich

My advice is to read the relevant threads on the disease forum for how to treat ich and decide what you want to do from there, the information will be presented clearly and systematically. Focus on the first posts of the

If you decide to use copper then copper
Power and a Hanna copper checker is the most highly recommended copper/test kit combo.

Keep all inverts in the display tank and feed to maintain your bio filter while Going Fishless.

Ok thanks. I appreciate it.

if you have more questions after reading please ask! I hope the threads help and the fish get better!
Yes read one already. Lol. Lots of good stuff in there. Really like the TTM even though it’s more work. Sounds the least stressful for the fish. I’m assuming with the TTM you dont feed to much since ammonium could build up. Also , in your opinion would a melanurus wrasse, tiny coris wrasse, 2 clowns and diamond be too much for a 10 gallon tank?

I actually don’t think ttm is less stressful because of the risk of Ammonia poison. If you do ttm be ready to
Dose prime often. With that amount of fish my gut says copper in a 20 gallon would be best but I Trust @HotRocks much more than myself. How large is the wrasse?

I bought prime at LFS on way home from work. Melanurus wrasse is about 2.5", the yellow coris wrasse is about an 1".

Be aware that prime binds ammonia for something like 24 hours (double check this because I’m not sure) so if you transfer every 72 hours you will likely need to dose prime multiple times. Seachem ammonia badges can help you track the ammonia but you’d need a sterile one for each transfer and I think they take some time to start working after being exposed to water. Not trying to scare you just want you not to lose a fish in a way I did!

As someone who uses ttm.

Mix water often, have enough at all times ready to do a water change. And use an accurate scale and a marked measurement line on your container. Will make getting the exact parameters as your tank every change 10x easier.
Also as there are no meds a seneye can alert you to ammonia presence(you can plug into a windows computer instead of their server) will save a lot of money this way, but an ammonia badge is also sufficient :)

Since its a sand sleeping wrasse get 2 containers for sand sanitize one between each change. And extra sand So can fill the with new sand each change.
