So I’m expecting orders to either mobile or Nola. If Nola then Mandeville. I know it’s a ***** commute but I got an 8 yr old. Gotta follow the schools.
And I’ll look those stores up. I may or may not try to find a temp home for some livestock if I decide to keep them

If you take I12 to I10 in Slidell, the commute may not be that bad.

I haven’t been to any fish stores in the north shore.

Tank’s been running since August 2021. First time using a skimmer.

Reed Octopus 110ext Recirculating Skimmer.

I just put the skimmer in the sump yesterday afternoon and let it run undisturbed all night. From what I understand, there is usually a break-in period for new skimmers.

I just don’t know if the skimmate is too wet, just right, or a normal product of a skimmer breaking in.

It does look wet and yes there is a break in period. Looks good though. What are your nutrients and what are you trying to achieve? If you have high nutrients and want them lower then run wet. If your nutrients are were you want them or too low then run dry.

People often think a skimmer is set and forget but actually it is one the pieces of equipment that needs to be dialed in depending on your tanks needs.
