RBTA look bleached to u guys?

There are lots of people on here that can answer about any question you have! Not me, but seriously.

I don't know how he was taken off but it was done by a professional and not the tank owner. I am not to worried about that because when u look at his foot it seems perfectly normal and is very firmly attached. Of course u guys r the professionals though and ik most people say there isn't a way to get them off a rock.
Ok, I didn’t realize that it had been done by a professional. If the foot doesn’t look, torn then that’s probably not the problem. I have heard that holding a bag of ice to their foot will make them release though

Yeah it's amazing how awesome the community is here!

np appreciate the suggestion though;Happy

The guy I got him from said that's what he used to feed them and they grew and split alot. If u say smaller foods should I give him like half a cube of frozen mysis? I tried a piece of shrimp from a store once but didn't like it to much

Just a small.squirt towarda the nem while feeding and let him grab what he wants...with the loss of zoos he will not be able to provide for himself while populations reestablish by using light. So small feedings will aid him.

I feel like the food just floats by him when I do that...

Here are my parameters:
PH: 8.2
Ammonia: 0.25 ppm
Phosphate: Hard to read but around 0.50-0.25
Salinity: 1.024
Nitrate: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm

Here he is today

Mine eat anything I put in the tank, mysis, brine, pellets etc.. when you feed the fish just give him a little.. I feed mine about three to four times a week, and they grow fast and split often..

My mom was doing research and saw that vinegar can help increase that algee they feed on is that true?

I would not...i would try to find source of said ammonia...

Yup...an cycled tank should always read 0.

I think your mom was reading about carbon dosing. I wouldn’t dose vinegar for the reason with a bleached anemone. Just give it time and it might come back on it’s own in a few months.

Your ammonia reading could be spurious, especially if using the API test kit.
That kit isn't good, frequently gives false positive readings. Suggest the Red Sea ammonia test kit instead.
Don't be overly aggressive trying to feed it while it's acclimating. It will just stress it.
Especially if it doesn't take the food immediately, and retracts instead.
Feed no more than once a week. Less often is fine as well.
I feed my BTAs small (3-5 mm) pieces of raw table shrimp (from the grocery store.)
A good rule of thumb is to only feed pieces of food smaller than the anemone's mouth.
I feed it to them with a plastic pipette with cut off end.
This lets them get the food, and keeps fish from stealing it first.
Don't use a metal tweezers/forceps to feed nems; they don't like the feel of metal.
Don't do carbon dosing with vinegar or alcohol unless you have a specific need to do so (nutrients too high.)
