Every time it has happen to mine I picked up all the shredded parts and just left anemone in tank. I then changed my carbon to ensure to will remove contaminants. Will take few weeks to heal

IMO will obviously heal better and faster in normal environment not in a cup. I feel a cup does not allow enough flow for anemone

then again my system is 250 gallons so it’s safer for me to do this then someone with small system that would more easily be over run with contaminants

I think it depends on how much biofilter is in there. I once let an anemone of that size just die in my 65 gallon and it was fine. Never ever cleaned it up. I had ***** marine pure and live rock in sump.

I’ve picked up pretty much all the shredded parts. If anything there are some extremely tiny pieces. My clownfish actually just ate a little piece. Should I just put the cup into the tank?

Wasn’t expecting it to still be partly alive. I had already counted it dead in my head so that’s a huge surprise. One thing I’m worried about is won’t my LED’s bleach it/kill it with it in the cup, all the way at the top of the tank? Should I move it off to the edges of the tank? & when would you guys recommend I move him back into the tank? I’m wondering how long it’ll take to heal. Sorry for all the questions, just wanna make sure I do things properly

I'ld let it heal in the cup and at that close to the lights, it will probably bounce back quicker. (if it survives the trauma it went through)

Tank is 90 gallons + 20 sump. I’m going to LFS soon to get pickup carbon

It looks pretty good all things considered. Just give it time and don't fuss with it. It looks firmly attached to the cup, if so, I'd try to get the cup fully submerged in the tank so you don't have to worry about water changes.

If you leave an anemone in a cup of stagnant water he will definitly die. If you replace that water every 2-3 hours may be fine but when will you sleep then ?

Right now I have the cup fully submerged with a clip on the top of the tank so it’s near the lights. Also, I just checked online/called & my LFS is closed on Sunday’s so I’ll have to wait till tomorrow to get the carbon

By the looks of it, it seems like my other nem is planning an escape mission also. I’m thinking of turning the pumps off so I don’t have to worry about it getting into a powerhead/overflow. I should be fine with just the return pump for the night right?

Depends what u have in there. If I did that to my tank I would make all my other live stock unhappy or risk them moving lol
