These urchins eat coraline algae?

Yes. I've seen reports that some won't through well established coralline but I frequently drop one of my mine in my sump to clean it up. Usually takes a few days.

They are IMHO amazing CUC otherwise as long as you glue your frag's down. My favorite algae destroyer.

I have 3 tuxedo urchins in my tank, 1 of which has been in there for over 2 years, the other two probably a year and 18 months. They have been very hearty and great algae mowers. They will however keep you from growing (and strip existing) coraline algae in my experience, so if that's important to you...

I'm not a huge fan of coralines......I think when the corals grow big, no one pay attentions to coralines.....
I know that urchins needs a little algae to feed of.....And I don't have much in my display....In fact, I have almost none...

Is glueing frags down enough? I really want an urchin but am concerned it will bulldoze my frags

I don't want to hijack Alex's thread but I'll say that in my experience Tuxedo urchins are very gentle compared to other urchins. They don't typically move my frags on plugs (glued or not) but will pick up smaller items (small sea shells etc) and have found a frag on the sand when they felt it was in the way. Gluing them should be all that is required.
